Happy Friday! Are you ready for the long weekend? I am! If you are elsewhere in the world you are missing out on one of the UK Bank Holiday weekends. We are off down to Devon for the weekend for a wedding and also visiting family. I am taking both my running shoes and my yoga mat to keep up with the YogaBabe Beat This Summer Series ~ I'm going to be fit, calm and confident for my birthday weekend.
Now we all know that we should drink water and lots of it but sometimes plain water can be a little, well, boring! Warm water with lemon is a great one to drink first thing in the morning to help with digestion but through the day we all want something a little more refreshing. One of my current favourite water infusions is blueberry and lemon. This one is best to make the night before and leave it to infuse overnight, add ice the next day and you are good to go!
Blueberries are brimming with antioxidants which boost your immune system and neutralise free radicals which can affect disease and ageing in the body. They also contribute towards glowing skin, bright eyes and help to aid digestion. Blueberry and lemon infused water is perfect for the end of summer to keep you hydrated and refreshed!
