Hey all! I hope you are having a happy Friday. I started my day off with a yoga class and then on my walk back down into the centre of town I got myself a soy latte from my favourite coffee shop. The bonus was that it was free, I love loyalty cards (you know where they give you a stamp every time you get a hot drink) and I had filled mine up. So YAY for free coffee!
So today I am breaking down camel pose aka ustrasana for you. I do love a good heart opening backbend although I must admit they are poses that never came naturally to me at first.
A few tips:
- Lift through the shoulders
- Push the hips forwards towards the front of the room
- Long spine, no compression in the low back
- Only release the head back if it feels okay in the neck
- Lift the chest
- Remember to breathe!
