Over this past month I have been making an attempt to meditate everyday. I'll be honest sometimes it doesn't happen everyday but the intention is there. Often I like to add a little meditation to either the beginning or end of my yoga practice and using a meditation playlist makes life easier! Meditation is something that has never come easy to me and at this moment in my life I have so much going on running my yoga business that I am constantly thinking. This is the girl that sequences yoga classes in my head while falling asleep! So in order to meditate rather than the traditional silence I like to use music. Here are my favourite songs to put on while meditating. My absolute favourite is Om by Nakada, it is also perfect for savasana.
I often find myself in a moving meditation with cardio. I can switch off, listen to the beat of my feet on the road (or the treadmill), be swept up in the music and before I know it cardio is done. Of course that's a different kind of music for cardio - no one wants to listen to hip hop while doing a seated meditation right?!
