Happy Monday from sunny Bristol! I woke up super early this morning, it must be these lighter mornings and sunshine telling my body that it is time to wake up. I spent some time playing on my mat, reading a little of the Yoga Girl Book and now here I am!
This months OM Yoga Magazine
" target="_blank">Om Yoga Magazine had an article about raw food and I thought that I would give you are few of my views of the raw food movement (as my own raw food guide) as it seems to be spreading across the whole of the country and raw food blogs are popping up everywhere! Firstly let me tell you that there is something for everyone - from simple green smoothies to decadent raw cacao tortes (YUM!). Personally I love raw food as long as it is tasty. I am not sure that I could go completely raw myself but I love incorporating raw meals into my everyday life, such as a daily green smoothie.
Did you know that through the process of cooking food can lose up to 80% of its nutrients - crazy right? When you eat raw all of the wonderful enzymes, vitamins and minerals are retained. So of course it is going to do wonders for your health and waistline! If you are new to raw food I would recommend maybe adding a smoothie to your daily diet and upping the fruits and vegetables. Carrot sticks are simple and delicious and raw!
What are your views on the raw food movement? I would love to know so leave me a comment below.
