So I took a little break away from social media somewhat this weekend. Away from the stress of 'I need to post on Instagram' or 'I haven't added anything to my Facebook page yet today'. And you know what? I loved every minute. Time with my girl friends. Time with Matt. Yoga for no one but myself. Exactly the way it should be. It is so easy to get caught up in a social media bubble and I think it's human nature - we want to be popular, we want to be liked. But does it really matter? No.
Love is Enough
My aim is nothing more than to share the love of yoga, connect with people, spread more love and true emotion. Embrace the rubbish days, embrace the great days - because that's life. Some days I may teach to packed classes of 30 people, other days a simple class of 3. But the essence of it is the same. I am sharing my love for something which has truly changed my life inside and out. Some people might not get it, they might not understand but some people will and they will connect with whatever it is I am trying to say.
I love yoga and I love the spiritual path my life is taking but that doesn't change the fact that I still love to watch back to back episodes of Mad Men or I'm overexcited about seeing Taylor Swift in Hyde Park. That doesn't make me any less 'yogic', it makes me more ME. So next time you think that you aren't enough. That maybe you need to be more of one thing and less of another just remind yourself that you have NOTHING to prove to anyone. Love yourself. Share your love. Love is enough. YOU are enough.
