After a few months of refurbishment work the Virgin Active Bristol club has been revamped with industry leading facilities. These include a brand new Group Cycle studio, revamped group exercise studios, new free weights area, children’s facilities and an expanded gym floor with the latest equipment sourced from health and fitness innovators around the world. As part of my yoga teaching schedule I teach every Thursday evening at the gym in the 'mind and body' room. It is so refreshing - the bright red walls that used to grace the studio are gone and have been replaced with trees. Yes TREES! We have a huge forest mural on the wall which I personally love.
I have been popping into the gym to hit the cardio machines. I love doing HIIT workouts for my cardio so having top spec, simple to use equipment makes things easy for me.
Jim Heskin, General Manager of Virgin Active Bristol, said: “It is hugely exciting to reveal our refurbished club with its new look and feel to the community. On behalf of the team, I want to thank our lovely members for their patience during the refurbishment. We hope the new facilities were worth the wait and will inspire and motivate more local people to come and see all that Virgin Active has to offer.”
I am going to make it my mission to get into this pool at some point this month and make use of the sauna to help my achy yoga girl muscles.
If you are in the Bristol area and looking for a new gym to sweat, restore and refresh then go and have a look at the updated Virgin Active Bristol club. I recommend the Vinyasa Flow Yoga class on Thursday evenings ;)
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. I received a complimentary membership to Virgin Active in order to try and test their new facilities for this blog post. I only ever work with brands that are a natural fit, and will not post about anything I don’t believe in or wouldn’t normally purchase.
PS: I will be revealing the details of my March 2016 yoga retreat SOON! Sign up to the mailing list to be the first to hear about it.
