Happy Friday! Have you been shopping in the crazy sales today? I honestly haven't found anything that jumped out for me, apart from Teeki leggings, but I was good and didn't order any... at the moment at least! Today I am back with a 20 minute yoga for the low back video. Low back pain is often due to tight hips and hamstrings so this video is filled with poses to lengthen and bring space to the legs and the hips. It ends with Viparita Karani, legs up the wall pose, which is one of my very favourite asanas for healing the low back. If your hamstrings are very tight (one of the biggest reasons we get low back pain in the first place), place a folded up blanket under your tailbone and keep your knees a little bit bent if needed. Relax your lumbar spine and RELAX. Stay for five minutes or more, focusing on your breathing and allowing the tight muscles in the low back to release.
