Happy Friday! The last Friday before Christmas, can you believe it? I have a bit of down time today so I am making the most of it by heading out for a run and hopefully going to yoga class this evening. Today I wanted to breakdown one of my favourite yoga transitions - the rock and roll shoot back. If you have ever attended one of my classes you will notice that I throw these in a lot as I love them. The transition itself is more about mind over matter so watch the video and give it a go!
How to do a Rock and Roll Shoot Back
- Come to your back, cross whichever ankle feels more natural over the other.
- Rock and roll forwards and back.
- Bring your hands down in front of you, shoot the legs back and land in chaturanga. Finish with your vinyasa and meet in down dog.
