Ins and Outs is a series on JBY where I share what I am loving and what not so much over the past month.
This month seems to have totally ran away with me! I am loving the run up to Christmas and I am very much looking forward to heading home to Cumbria on Christmas Eve, the travelling will not be so great but I am hoping for a clear run up the M5/M6 and getting home before dark!
Running - Yep running! I used to be so into running a couple of years ago but when I started to focus more on yoga with my teacher training coming up I got out of the habit. I missed it! I'm not going to lie, the first couple of runs kinda hurt but I am being super easy on myself doing a mixture of running and walking until I build my stamina back up again. This time around I'm not focusing on distance or speed just moving in a way that feels good and to get that much needed cardio back into my life. Right now I'm aiming to head out twice a week and if that run turns into more of a power walk then, you know what, that's okay too.
Feeling Festive - Matt and I had our own little Christmas day yesterday and it was perfect. I taught a yoga class in the morning but the rest of the day was spent together, opening presents, drinking wine and making Christmas dinner! It was such a lovely day. I'm going to miss him a lot while I am away with my family but we will be back together for New Years eve! Yay!
Star Wars - I have never thought of myself as a Star Wars fan before but after watching The Force Awakens I am all over it! Matt and I re-watched the previous six films (in the correct order) over the past couple of months on what we called 'Star Wars Sunday'. I am glad that we did because I had all the back story in my head for the new film - which was amazing! I would like a little BB-8 droid for myself, and can we just talk about how amazing Daisy Ridley is? She seriously kicks ass in that film (and real life, just check her Instagram to see her workouts).
The Rain - Okay England, you do realise that it is December? Where are the frosty, sunny mornings? Stop it with the rain already.
Feeling Tired - I think that everyone gets like this from time to time. The dark days and long nights have left me feeling a little less like myself and so sleepy all the time. I think that I very much need this time off over Christmas as I have been busy teaching a lot of yoga, organising my January workshop and 2016 retreats, Christmas shopping and everything else in between. My first year of full self employment has been a good one for certain but I haven't actually taken any time off other than a weekend or three days here and there. This girl needs a break!
I would love to know what your 'Ins and Outs' are for this month? And if you have any book recommendations please do let me know, I am planning on devouring a few books over the holidays!
