It's Friday which means it's new yoga video time! I filmed a video all about side crow for you, which is a great way to follow on from crow pose. I was so excited about our newly finished spare room that I decided to try to film a video in it. While I don't think the room is large enough to film videos in going forward this is what we have for today. So I apologise if the set up is a little odd. Also I filmed this right after an hours yoga practice including some deep hip openers, hence the old leggings and no make up!
How to do Side Crow
A few tips to keep in mind -
- This pose requires a huge twist so make sure that you are warmed up and can go pretty deep into your twists. If you are not quite there yet with the twist just keep practising, it will come.
- Eyes on the road - I often get a giggle out of students when I say this but it is so true! Keep on gazing forwards, if you look at your feet the balance is off and you'll end up on your head.
- Core, core. core. Keep lifting up through the core - belly button in and up.
I do hope that you find this video helpful, if you do please leave me a comment below - I love hearing from you all.
Right, I am off to make sure that we are stocked up on some vegan friendly foods - I think we are but I just have to check - as our lovely friends are coming over to stay for the weekend. On a side note the Oh She Glows cookbook is my go to for vegan recipes. Have an amazing weekend!
PS - If you are looking for an amazing weekend away in March I have only a few spaces remaining on my March Yoga and Raw Food Workshop Retreat in Devon. Don't miss it!
