I don't often share my beauty favourites these days but if you know me well you will be aware that I am very much into beauty, skincare and make-up. Yes, I can be a real girl when I'm not wearing leggings! So I thought I would share a few items I am loving at the moment.
Jason Long & Strong Jojoba Conditioner - I have been trying to switch up my hair care with more organic products and it is a little bit of trial and error but out of the projects I have tried so far this one is a winner. I love having long hair and I have to force myself to get it trimmed so anything which can help to make it longer and stronger is always good in my eyes. As I colour my hair it can be quite weak and break easily. I have found that this conditioner helps to keep in the moisture and keep it manageable.
Green People Quinoa & Calendula Shower Gel - I was so excited when the lovely people at Green People sent this over for me to try, I love it! It is perfect for a morning shower as it has a zingy citrus smell which is perfect for waking you up. It leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh without drying it out.
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser - My skin was looking a little congested so I recently popped along to my local Kiehls' counter and asked them what they would recommend, as I was looking for a new cleanser I picked this one up which they recommended for my oily/normal skin type. I'm really enjoying it so far, I usually cleanse with coconut oil or micellar water first to take all my make up off then I use this cleanser on my face, avoiding the eye area. You only need a small amount and lathers up well. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and looking more balanced. It's a non-stripping sulphate-free formula so it doesn't leave your skin feeling dried out. A little goes a long way so I can see this lasting me for a while.
Urban Decay Subversion and Perversion - I make this purchase on the recommendation of my friend Rosalie and together this little duo is amazing. I am usually pretty changeable when it comes to mascaras and I find that as my lashes are pretty long they can leave those mascara lash marks around the socket of my eye - hopefully you know what I mean! However this little duo does not do that! What they do do is make my lashes super long, kinda clumpy but I like that and it lasts pretty much all day.
Inika Liquid Foundation - I was looking for a organic foundation and decided to try this one out and I really rate it. 76% of the ingredients are certified organic. I find that I like liquid foundations better which is why I went for this one rather than a powder based one. I find that one pump will do my whole face for a light/ medium coverage and two pumps for a heavy coverage. I think this foundation works best when applied with fingers and then buffed out with a stippling brush. I really like the coverage and the packaging with the pump makes it super easy to use.
Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate - This is another product I purchased while at the Kiehl's counter and after having heard about it so much from beauty bloggers over the years I had to try it. Oh my gosh this stuff is amazing, I adore it. It's filled to the brim with essential oils and distilled botanicals (no parabens or mineral oil). It works overnight to help your skin recover radiance and to help your skin feel softer and smoother. I love applying this just before bed. I use the dropper to drop 3-4 drops of this magical liquid onto my fingers and then gently press it into my skin, I focus on my forehead first then down around my temples and eye sockets, cheeks, chin, nose and then any excess on my neck. I then massage it in and follow with a moisturising cream.
