Sometimes the run up to the holidays is just a little bit stressful right? All of that running around and preparing can throw us off our regular routine. Today I have for you a 30 minute restorative yin yoga practice that you can do to take time out of your day whenever you are feeling stressed out or need to find stillness.
30 Minute Restorative Yin Yoga Practice
Yin yoga is an amazing practice and it good for anyone who has a strong yang (vinyasa, power, strala) practice as it allows you to slow down and work deeply within the body. It is nourishing for the body and mind. In yin yoga we use lots of props and move super slowly spending 3-5 minutes in each pose, sometimes longer. The mind may wander, and that's okay, just keep bring your attention back to your breath.
In this video I use a bolster, a thick blanket and two yoga blocks but if you don't have those things then just get creative with whatever you have around the house - pillows, towels and spare yoga mats all make great substitutes.
Before you go: Looking forward to 2017 I have two retreats coming up in Devon, UK. I would also love to know where you would like to go for our next retreat, if you are interested in upcoming retreats with me then please fill out this short questionnaire.
