The Spring and Summer 2017 Yoga Retreats are almost filled up! Come and join us for a weekend of yoga and country air!
Well hello there Monday! I spent Saturday afternoon at my New Year Space Maker workshop where I was blessed with leading a lovely group of women through a magical two hours. If you want to be the first to know when my next workshop is then do sign up for the monthly newsletter as I announce everything there first! On Sunday I was ill, and I am still feeling it today #PoorMe. But! Onward, I'm sure I will be back to my normal self soon. Today I am bring a video for you breaking down eight angle pose aka astavakrasana (fun to say not to spell!) which I filmed last week.
For me I think this one is easier than it looks. It does look like a pretzel pose but once you have the hip opening going on it is surprisingly accessible. Make sure that you are warmed up in the hips, the shoulders and the core.
How to do Eight Angle Pose
A few tips to take note of -
- Gaze forwards
- Squeeze the inner thighs together around the upper arm
- Push the mat away with your hands
- Keep the energy moving out of the bottoms of the feet and intend to straighten
- Bottom legs foot on top
- Don't forget to do both sides. You might find that you can do this pose on one side first but do keep working on your weaker side.
Have fun, don't take it too seriously (it's just yoga) and let me know how you get on in the comments below.
