Well hello there friends! It seems that the holidays have passed us by and we have ended up in 2018, how did that happen? Today I am back to working on all things yoga and I am looking forward to getting back to leading my regular weekly yoga classes tonight.
Taking a Step Back
Over the holidays I took a little bit of time out. I had planned to write up a post all about my reflections on 2017 but that went out the window when I realised what I really needed was some time just to be. With no plans and no expectations. So I took a step back. Until this morning I hadn't set foot on my yoga mat since before Christmas. I found myself practising a little yoga first thing in the morning while still in bed or doing a few hip openers while waiting for my tea water to boil. It did me the world of good and I woke up this morning craving my practice. It felt a little stiff and that's okay. Just remember that it is okay to take a step back and have some time out when you need it. The hardest part is often listening to that whisper that is telling you what you need.
So going forwards into 2018... I have no resolutions myself but I have created a couple of positive mantras which I will weave into my daily life. We will be chatting more about mantras and how to use them to create change in my upcoming workshops this month. I also plan to keep a gratitude journal, nothing too much or too detailed but simply the little things I am grateful for. I read this post from Candace and it inspired me greatly to bring a little more daily gratitude into my life. Let's see what happens.
I am so excited to be hosting three upcoming yoga retreats this year both in the UK and in Europe. The Ibiza Yoga Retreat is the biggest (and scariest) project I have taken on to date but I have no doubts that it is going to be amazing, I have a whole host of wonderful people joining me for the ride and you could be one of them! In other news, sadly the beautiful house which I hosted our Autumn Yoga Retreat is on the market so I won't be hosting a retreat there this year.
