Splits for me is one of THOSE poses, you know, one of those big impossible seeming poses. I've never been the most naturally flexible person as years of running has taken it's toll on my body but slowly over time splits became more attainable. Honestly, I think that unless you are the ex-gymnast / dancer type splits is a pose which takes a lot of work, and it varies from person to person. Body to body. Day to day.
In this video you will flow through a sequence with opens up the hips and the hamstrings allowing you to approach splits. It's important that you don't rush into this pose, work into it using your breath. Please do listen to your body with this one, if you feel anything not quite right or painful back off out of the pose and make sure you are feeling properly warmed up.
