The winter months are a perfect time to slow things down - in this workshop we will be slowing down and moving through some deep hip openers to not only deepen our splits but to create space. I often think of the hips as the 'junk draw' of the body - the place where you throw things in to forget about them and not deal with them - we will be opening up this space, cracking open our hearts and shifting through those emotions that have become stuck.
Most of the time in yoga it’s not necessarily how strong or flexible you are, it’s about how you approach pose, it’s about getting to know your body, tuning in and coming back to yourself.
Together we will work with the breath and the body to create a flow that will open up the hips and deepen your splits. These flows will challenge you to find comfort in the uncomfortable and calm your mind when it starts to wander. My favourite part of my own practice is finding new and fun ways to transition into poses and I can’t wait to share my favourite creative flows with you!

Please bring -
- a pair of long socks
- an eye mask or headband to use as a blindfold
The studio has yoga mats, blocks and blankets but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
